This post of course is for those planning to go to the U.K or those who are currently there. For those planning to go, these are some interesting places to go to. For those already in the U.K, hopefully this can help feed the boredom if you haven’t gone to these places yet.

1. Madame Tussauds

Well at some point or another you saw a wax figure of a public figure on the news or social media and slightly wonder what happened to XYZ. Then you found out, it’s actually a wax figure. Maybe you knew from the beginning.

These figures might be the closest we get to these public figures, so embrace the opportunity and take a picture.

2. Search for the Loch Ness Monster

I remember watching Scooby Doo and Phineas & Ferb and hearing of this supposed Lake Monster. It stuck because I’ve watched these episodes on repeat.

The Loch Ness Monster is believed to inhabit Loch Ness in Scotland. Yet, like mermaids they are believed to be a myth.

3. Go to a concert

There’s so much tours and concerts happening this year,  especially now that Covid regulations dired down. It’s nice to let your hair down and listen to your favourite artists or music. You meet people with the same music taste and could maybe even meet the artist self.

Concerts in the U.K in 2022:

Get concert tickets here. You can check out local concerts as well. Maybe you’re witnessing the next big thing.

4. Shakespeare Play in his Hometown

You’ve been living under a rock, if you haven’t heard about Shakespeare. He was the Steven Spielberg of plays. The English used in these plays are far above my vocabulary but the storylines are very interesting.

I’ve watched American adaptions of his plays like, She’s The Man, Deliver Us From Eva, 10 Things I Hate About You, Romeo & Juliet and of course The Lion King.

It’s going to be more special to watch the original adaption in Shakespeare’s hometown even though plays may not be everyone’s cup of tea.

Location: Henley St, Stratford-upon-Avon CV37 6QW, United Kingdom

5. Have Tea and Scones

This might seem totally weird but England is known for it’s tea and what is tea without something to eat? There are many restaurants or cafés you can try around London. Having tea and scones is something more traditional for London, so jump on the bandwagon and sip away.

6. Thermae Bath Spa

Most people would find it weird to bathe in public, unless you’re into the skinny dipping kind of thing. Well, this is not as extreme as it may sound.  In actual fact most people will see this as a heated swimming pool or very big Jacuzzi.

If you’re looking to heat things up in the colder seasons,  you can pay a visit at Thermae Bath Spa.

Location: The Hetling Pump Room, Hot Bath St, Bath BA1 1SJ, United Kingdom

7. Titanic Building

If big drops of sweat didn’t come out of your eyes then you need to recharge your emotions because this movie crept into the hearts of so many people. The tale is so sad and the directors chose the best storyline for the movie.

We should not forget the actual Titanic and all the people that was taken away from the ‘unsinkable ship’. This might have instilled fear in people who might want to go on a cruise ship. I say go in faith and enjoy it.

8. Visit a Museum

To some this might seem completely boring but it gives you a better sense of what happened in the country or city in prior times. Museums have some great artefacts and other objects to give you a feeling of that sense of time.

There’s more than one type of museum. Here’s just a few:

Of course there’s so much more than that but check it out if you do have the time. There’s also sites like TripAdvisor, Bookings, Expedia to help with bookings of these places and many more.

9. Warner Bros Studio, Leavesden

For all the Hogwarts fans, this might be one of your greatest experiences in the U.K. You’ll get to see costumes, sets, props,  visual effects (vfx) and special effects (sfx). This is definitely something to experience,  so be sure to check it out.

10. Watch a live sports game

England is known for it’s sports. Soccer, rugby and cricket is one of the most popular sports there. I highly suggest to experience a live sports game. It could be the most exhilarating experience you could have or if you’re not into sports, the most boring. I would highly suggest you make a turn while in the United Kingdom.

Hope this post was helpful and that you visit one of these places when you’re in the United Kingdom.
